Cook's Club

The cookery lessons are designed to be fun and informative, whilst also providing value for money in a beautiful rural setting outside Cust village.

They take place in Deans spacious kitchen at his home.

Lessons start just before 10am with a welcome and coffee and pastries.

Guests are invited to be hands on with the lesson, with participation encouraged whilst the lesson progresses through to lunch at about 1.30.

Chef Dean & guests then sit together to enjoy their lunch with wine and a few anecdotes thrown in about his life in hospitality around the world. The day is designed to finish at about 2.15 to allow for people to rush off to collect children or catch up with other things in their day.

The all inclusive price for these popular events is $95 per person.

Classes are limited to 6 to 8 in number, special groups can be arranged if need be. Classes are run on week days only.

Italian Day
Sampling some of the lesser known cuisine from Piemonte, Aosta and Saxony regions. The lesson will cover deli type foods, pastas, breads wines and polenta with cheeses. Some novel sauces too.

Middle Eastern
Regarded as one of the healthiest cuisines in the world. How to make the ultimate rice dishes, flavoursome kebabs, dips and many of the regions spices explained. Dishes from Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf.

Party Food & Nibbles
As it suggests, all those useful chefs tips for making entertaining easy and impressive. Plenty of ideas for you to run with and make your own at home.

BBQ Day
Had to do one for the blokes, an extensive and impressive treatment of barbecue foods, with seafood too, and chef tips for you to look professional in your outdoor kitchen. ($20 surcharge applies due to the cost of the ingredients, and beer).

Other topics can be included such as; Breads & pastas, seafood, wise food shopping, plan your weekly meals on a budget, dinner party delights, chef tricks of the trade.
